Christmas is taken as a mixed blessing in the ferocious lifestyles of those who live in the Western world. Happiness, pain and extreme rivalry all exist side by side and even at home little disputes arise over the presents. But does Jesus want us to celebrate his birthday like that?
The Wintershall Nativity is meant to be entertaining for everyone but also act as a gentle reminder of the lovely Christian principles on which we are meant to run our lives: love, kindness, care for all, patience and forgiveness - all these are brought out in some measure in our play.
As the play takes place both outside and inside Holly Barn it is advisable to come warmly dressed and with suitable shoes or boots. The barn theatre is a few minutes steep walk from the car park. The 'Inn' opens for tea/coffee and mince pies 45 minutes before the start of each performance.
The seating is on plain wooden benches so you might like to bring a cushion to sit on. Each performance lasts approximately 90 minutes. Disabled access is only available by prior arrangement.
